State Constitutions
Each state has a constitutional clause that places certain obligations on the state or local school districts in terms of the way they deliver education.  The clauses also often require schools to deliver a certain level of quality in education as well.  Those constitutional clauses are the basic foundation for all children's educational rights in their public schools.  The Education Rights Center has collected all of those
state consitutional clauses and the major court cases interpreting those clauses.  Below you will find links to a webpage for each state that quotes the constitutional clause/s, summarizes the holding in the state's major court case, and provides the most relevant quotations from that court case.
